Ask DN: What's your favorite prototyping platform?

over 8 years ago from , Design at TrendyMinds and Official

Our agency has been testing out some apps for some of our larger web clients. We have tried UXPin and JustinMind. We have been having good experiences with both, but they are still a little buggy. Are there any other platforms that you have had success with? Commenting in the prototypes is a MUST! Thank you!

My favorite prototyping platform is... HTML & CSS (no kidding). I love playing around with every new prototyping tool (FramerJS being my 2nd favorite), but I always keep coming back to hand coding HTML and CSS.

As for a prototyping tool with a commenting feature, Atomic.io is the best one I've seen and used.

For now, it seems like using a mix of tools is the best way to go.

I get HTML & CSS. It's the easiest when working on my personal projects.

Thanks for the heads up with Atomic.io! I will check that out!

Axure's pretty good, especially for responsive sites.

I use a mix of Flinto/Marvel, Framer, and more recently Swift/Xcode. It depends on what I'm trying to accomplish/test. Sometimes I need something a little more polished, other times quick and dirty is good.

    Note: I hate Marvel.
