I kind of want one just to keep up with the NSA on my data.
Best Flash site I've seen all day. :P
The Facebook only access is very annoying especially when I really want to use this.
Good God. This is beautiful. Everything from explaining what it's for, to signing up, to the Setup Guide, to other users' profiles to familiarize oneself with the experience.
Hat tip to the team there. :)
This is pretty amazing man. I love all the animation and the scrolling, nothing like this on the web. Awesome work!
I've wanted to do something like this since I first saw his personal version April Zero. Can't wait to be able to use it and see where this goes.
So, the site's gorgeous, no surprise there. Any idea on how you guys are making money? I might have missed it, but I didn't see any mention of privacy and whether or not the vast amounts of data plugged into gyroscope would be monetized.
We’ve also added Gyroscope Pro, which adds some powerful features like using your own domain name.
Seems like a pro plan is the business model. I couldn't find a privacy policy.
We take privacy very seriously and won't ever be selling people's data. We built it for ourselves, and there's more of my info in there than anyone else's.
We have Gyroscope Pro which is $7/month and lets you add some new themes to customize the design, and use your own domain name to make it into your website
We're hoping eventually people will replace their websites with a sweet Gyroscope page and save a lot of time and money while still having an awesome site.
All the right answers here for me. Signed up for early access, cannot wait!
It looks beautiful and from the second I saw April Zero, I wanted something like it.
This looks a lot like Anand Sharma's project... coincidence?
No, it's the next iteration of it.
You can actually compare aprilzero.com to new.aprilzero.com to see all the changes we've made.
Here is a quick post I just published about what Gyroscope is and how we got started: https://medium.com/gyroscope-innovations/introducing-gyroscope-30b63d542f75
It's the same guy. He expanded it for anyone to use, and even got some funding for it. Pretty rad. :)
Edit: Looks like Anand himself beat me to the punch!
Really fantastic UI and animations on the site and actual Gyroscope web-app.
One thing regarding the marketing site, I would recommend not going overboard with the 3D, it looks very cool but I think could be executed a little more subtly.
Can't wait to get my hands on an invite. Just signed up for Moves app to get more detailed data in here.
I really liked his April Zero site, and I'm glad he made it a service, but I'm still waiting for more options of things to connect. I don't use Strava, Runkeeper or Moves app, and I currently don't use a fitness tracker.
Pretty cool how it pull my workout related check-ins to the "Go for a run..." section of the setup. That was a nice touch. Pretty clever.
Incredible site . My only gripe is to please leave the default browser scrollbars alone. I have a graphics tablet and I rely on using the scrollbars, these custom ones are way to skinny to grab onto.
It's an awful website, awful! Can I please have the code though...
Edit: It looks great, in case you didn't get my poor joke...
I'm no fan of these "measure all the things tools", but..
Best damn dashboard I've ever seen. (period) And i'm not talking about fancy dribbble concepts, this is the real deal.
the animation is really awesome!
