Hey guys,
I am looking at revamping my website/portfolio but before I ventured off to that I thought I would ask you to show me your or someone's website/portfolio you found to be inspiring and fresh.
"Creative portfolio/website" on Google attempt was a disaster.
I am inclined for minimal looks and responsive sites.
I put this together almost a year ago exactly. Since I got my new job, I've been lazy with updates... sigh.
Edit: Didn't think this would get much attention. For the nerds: hosted on Linode, set in LL Circular and Replica Mono, and no CMS. If you dig into it, the code is pretty ugly and there is a lot of duct tape holding it together, but that's the limit of my skills. I also use my site as a self-hosted image upload service and an asset upload landing page amongst other things!

Sorry for the oversight! This is an awesome observation, and one I haven't heard before... which is crazy, now that I think about the use case.
The page/page transition was a big thing I focused on, and I'm really not sure how or why cmd-click is disabled. I'll look into it some time.

Your portfolio is great. It's nice to have some interactivity. One suggestion I have is about the text on "experiments" page. You could make the lines shorter, with less characters - it improves readability :) good job!

Nothing fancy and got the job done as I'm joining the Uber design team next month.
Interesting bits: No CMS. Just good old fashioned static HTML pages and CSS. Did some mod-rewrite's for clean URLs. Used two fonts mostly (Maven Pro and Klinic Slab - thanks to Joe Prince) and leveraged -webkit-overflow-scrolling: touch; for responsive galleries.
Still need to clean up the source and put it on GitHub.
It's still a work in progress. I have some more work to do on the project pages and adding more content.
I put this together whilst trying to sharpen my front end skills. Had a go at using skrollr.js

Making something that is supposed to represent yourself is always the hardest thing to accomplish and be satisfied with.
This is the most recent re-design of my portfolio/blog. I just graduated college and I hope to do some freelancing while working a full-time job in order to pay off my student loans more quickly. :Majored in Computer Science and Design, although I do mostly full stack web development. Hopefully I'll be able to keep the site updated with new projects that I create, in addition to writing Rails + EmberJS tutorials.

Best of luck! If you have a reasonable amount of work to show, I'd consider being less concerned with building a "creative" portfolio. When I've recruited, I tend to be a lot more concerned with brevity and communication skills. I want to see your work, see your process, see your rationale — if you can do that creatively, even better.

It's so hard to create a portfolio. One evening I gave myself 2 hours to code and write the copy. This was the result.
~2.5 years old, so really needs a refresh. (And don't look at the code, I didn't know what the heck I was doing at the time!)

One of my goals when designing and building it was to let the content stand by itself and stay very close to unstyled HTML in terms of layout and structure. Like everyone else here I rarely find the time to add new projects to it :/

Very minimal, responsive. Built it when I was looking for a job and wanted a project/reason to explore Node.js, Handlebars templating, and and some other fun stuff. The project taught me that Stylus as a css preprocessor is fantastic!

Actually thinking about going back and simplifying the site more and only displaying something like 5 projects.
Just redesigned few weeks ago. Looks very good on firefox. Solved many IE problems with html5shiv.js and has a good UI.
