Bah, I was really hoping Dropbox would buy Sunrise and integrate it into a cloud suite with Mailbox.

Nice! I like this new Microsoft, and I like Sunrise.

I hope this means we'll get Exchange calendars on the web app too. I'd love to use it with my work calendar.

Definitely not surprised given Microsoft's focus on mobile apps in recent times (not only WIndows apps). I'm excited to see how the app evolves in the future and congrats to the Sunrise Team!

I both like and dislike this news. I dislike that great indie software doesn't have a future any more. Great software like Sparrow, Sunrise is being bought by large corporations. Most likely not for the software, but for the people behind it—an acquihire. Users are left behind with software that won't be supported anymore and they will ultimately leave the software behind because it's outdated.

But on the other hand... I totally understand why they're doing it. It's hard to build a sustainable, highly profitable business from building indie software. Of course they'll sell out when they get the chance to.

Ironic since there's no exchange support. Cool though

If you liked Sunrise, you should check out Tempo.

But Sunrise is killer because it has an Android/Web client. This is just an iPhone app.
