    When I read the title of this post, I thought it was going to show the actual sites that they drew their inspiration from when created their recent demo. While I fully commend the tympanus for the awesome quality of their walkthroughs, I wish they would throw props back to the community, and specifically to the people who pioneered the effects that they include on their site.

      @Emily C. I am not sure which specific effects you are referring to, but the only one that we used as a base for inspiration is credited in the demo and also in the article (like we always do). We are unaware of any existing effects that look exactly the same but if you could point them out we'd be glad to add credit as the "pioneer" of that style/effect. At Codrops we have no intention whatsoever to discredit anybody in the "community" or to "steal" anybody's work.

      Many similar effects have been designed in the past and crediting them all is difficult. I tried after designing my own but gave up after five footnotes.

    I've never been a huge fan of moving the labels on focus, as it could end up being confusing to the user. It could also break the page layout, unless the initial design had whitespace in the area where the logo would move to (it seems like that'd be a lot of whitespace).

    I really like the idea behind the Juro example. The label simply shrinks and the overall bounding box of the input doesn't change, thus not breaking the rest of the site's layout (potentially).

    I'm also pretty fond of Kyo, but it seems like it would only be useful for really simple forms.
