I'm on iPhone 5s Mobile Safari and the animation is neat, but really slow. It feels too delayed to the point that I had no idea what to do. I tried clicking around to see if that could control what was happening.
The transition of the photo, while really cool, startled me and left pretty confused. Also, are there any links to your work?
appreciate the feeback Cole! very valuable
What you have created is technically skilled and good looking, but sadly is hard to use. I kept looking for something to click on without any success, and the contact button did not appear until a decent amount of time had passed. Imagine all the people coming here who want to hire you but don't see the contact button?
The animations you are doing are very cool, I just wouldn't put your vital contact links behind it
thanks alex! this seems to be a common sentiment. much appreciated.
I really enjoy the little interaction when I hover over the social links. However, your 'Lets Work Together' button has no alt text, and no link preview. Coming from someone who doesn't use a desktop email client, clicking a 'mailto' link can be 15-20 seconds worth of dialogues when the Mail app opens.
Using the same alt-text interaction you've got going for the social links could easily solve this.
I also agree that the animations are a little bit too slow, but they're very pretty!
Otherwise, really well done!
you're right mailto isn't ideal, i switched it to a simply twitter reply.
thanks for the input josh!
As others have said, it looks nice, but I found it a frustratingly slow reveal.
tweaked the animation speeds, curious what you think. thanks for the input tristam!
