    If you want to quickly achieve a similar effect. Go into the default brushes in Illustrator and select Artistic_ChalkCharcoalPencil. Select Pencil Thin.

    I think the way of doing it it's with the plain old Stroke Tool, vectorize the image, and keep it simple. At least that's how I would do it.

      That's what I've been doing but couldn't get the doodled effect. It's just a matter of brushes it seems!
