Issues with layers disappearing in Sketch

Is anyone else having the issue of layers disappearing in Sketch? I have entire groups that have disappeared despite being able to view the work in the group on the screen. If you're facing this issue, how are you solving it? Seems to happen after I export to PDF.

    So it only disappears on export? Or it disappears while you're working on the file?

      It disappears after I export it and start working on the file.

        Working on the exported file? Or working from the file you exported from? Is the layer visible in the exported file? Or does it disappear in the original after export?

        Sorry that's a lot of questions, your phrasing just isn't very clear at all.

          I'm working on the original file after I exported it. The images off the layers are visible on my workspace, but the actual layers that reside in the layers pane on the left side are not. Despite the work being visible in the workspace, I'm unable to interact with it.

          Ah yes, English is a 3rd language for me so I sometimes fail at phrasing and remembering adjectives.
