At a large company like Apple, work habits differ wildly between departments -- and also between levels of management. To me, this article would be more appropriately titled "Work habits for managers at competitive companies".

However, I agree with his statement: "It was a busy place. By our choice."

My experience at Apple has felt remarkably similar to my previous startup jobs. Everybody wants to succeed, and therefore tries very hard -- with or without external prodding.

Listened to this the other day. Gives a lot of honest insight into the inner workings of Apple from an engineer's perspective. On the long side but worth listening to throughout your day.
