I had a class at 37signals once. The entire office is a piece of artwork.
Oh nice – it really seems like they put a lot of thought into the materials used. I feel like I'd be very productive in a setting like that.

My guess is it's a testing machine of some sort.
While it wasn't my favorite design, by far the most interesting office design I've seen was at Zappos in Las Vegas:

Monkey Inferno's Office is by far one of the best offices I have ever seen. They also have a private chef that cooks them all lunch everyday, how awesome would that be?!
