After you've sold all the stuff, you should sell the domain too for the next person to use.

I was thinking of making it into a platform so multiple people can use it, but I like that your idea is more in the spirit of selling everything I own. Buy all my digital things, too.

        Do this.

Build something useful, make money off it. Don't feel guilty about it.

(You'll probably get more out of it by learning something like Angular or whatever)

Yeah, I would be more interested in the learning experience than the potential for it to make money. It seems like there is a need for something like this.

      I like that idea.

I recently went through the same phase of moving out of London and needed to sell all my stuff. My solution was not as elegant, quick site hosted on dropbox so my girlfriend can help manage it.

There are a lot of people moving all the time.

Nour is a good guy and you should buy all his things.

This is what makes the internet cool.

We can make a thing that only lasts for a little while, and do so in complete confidence. It's not the same kind of publishing as before - it has room to be ephemeral and totally utility driven.

I'm not in LA, otherwise I'd probably buy something.

I love the idea! I moved several times in the past 6 years and a website to sell some of my stuff would have been really helpful – so +1 for making it a platform. Not only could you earn money with this idea, you would also help a lot of people.

Reminds me of a project I did some time ago, but for different reasons: the Cult of Less.

I love this. Part of why I'm moving is to "reset" both in terms of things I own and in terms of career path.

I made a spreadsheet very similar to yours, and my deadline is the end of September.

I'm a designer who has been living in Los Angeles for the past 5 years, during which I've accumulated a lot of things. Now I'm moving back to Lebanon, where I'm from, and I need to sell all my things. I made buyallmythings.com to share with my friends who may want to buy some of my things; rather than sending a bunch of Craigslist links, I can just share one easy-to-remember url.

If you're in the Los Angeles area and want to buy a thing, get in touch!
