Hi everyone! I'm the person who made this, so if you want to ask me any questions or take me to task, I'm here for you.
I just wanted to say I've really enjoyed your onboards so far. Keep up the good work!
I'm super glad to hear it, Ben -- thanks for saying so!
Likewise keep it up! Found it really useful sensitize the mobile team @ local.ch in Switzerland to onboarding, where we see over 1 million mobile app users a month.
Found it's really hard to get developers and product owners to understand how valuable a decent onboarding process is. Folks just don't seem to "get it" and at first glance it just looks like MoreWork(TM). useronboard.com is really helping!
Are you open to looking at apps that might not be well known but are trying different approaches? I pinged @UserOnboard on twitter related to a side a project which might be interesting.
I'm VERY glad to hear it's helping progress things in your company, Harry!
And yep, just replied to your tweet!
Cool thanks! Be warned that Hoi is "just a side project" so it has rough edges - more a place to experiment ( back story here if you're interested )
Hi Samuel, thanks for this again. Just a tiny point: perhaps you should call this Mailbox Beta, not Mailbox since onboarding may change after beta.
Good point! I've been trying to figure out what I'm going to do with multiple versions lately.
I have looked at some onboarding teardowns. They are really nice! Very detailed.
Awesome! Good lookin' out, Yakim!
"Child, Please"
Lol.
The coin fail is one of my favorite animations.
That's super fun!
screens 53 and on are gmail in a browser window. what gives?
My Dropbox email address and the Google account I added in the "Add Accounts" screen aren't the same address. That confused me at first, as well.
I hope they take this stuff onboard (pun intended). Its already working really well for me, with these extra points it'll feel so polished.
Thanks, David!
hilarious ^ ^
That's why they call it beta
I thought it was pretty great, particularly considering that. :)
Sure it is, I focused more on the UX glitches you pointed out, my bad:)
@Dean Wow, that was quick! Thank you. :)
