Working on my favourite side project: sleeping.
Tough week.
A project I'm working on since a few weeks now: I search, collect and vectorize beautiful old post stamps: http://stamps.gansrigler.com
Wow, this is very cool!
Can you make a weekly Newsletter/RSS? :D
You can follow the project on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/poststamps and on Twitter https://twitter.com/gansrigler I'll post whenever I publish a new stamp. Thanks :)
Selfpromoteception.
I have no shame.
Cool site!
And there's Meeet inside Meeet.
Thanks!
Totally forgot to add the Meeet-in-Meeet to the chain.
Here we go:
A side project for building side projects that are for building side projects.
I love this site! Great job
Thanks man!
Motion Design for iOS, coming soon!
I'm putting the finishing touches on my next e-book, Motion Design for iOS. It's a really detailed guide going through the history of animation, how it applies to software, imagining and designing animations, and then a ton of full-code examples in Objective-C and Swift. It's my first e-book published on Design Then Code in about 3+ years so I'm psyched to show this one off near the end of this month!
Updating TheNews (iOS) (http://thenewsapp.co) and beginning work on an iPad version :)
Working on a productivity tool called Taco. Taco brings tasks, to-dos, issues, tickets, and even gmail emails into a single page to help people stay focused throughout the day.
Planning on making this my main project in the very near future...
Nice! Did you make it?
Saw it on ProductHunt a while ago.
Yup, we're a two person team. I do the design work and a good chunk of the front end development on it. ProductHunt actually brought us over 5000 signups after it was featured on there!
Woah!
Keep rockin'!
Working on improving my fitness, going for a 4+ hour ride.
This looks lovely. Good luck!
Thanks! Done: http://www.strava.com/activities/177954106 You bike too?
Mostly run
Adding some new notification features to spendlight.com. Sometimes feels like a slow slog, but I'll get there eventually.
+1 for a Meeet project!
How's it working out for you?
I've had a few designers express interest, but the dialog petered out. Good reminder to give it a kick in the pants.
Going to dive into the beta Dribbble API to be able to Like, Follow, and Comment for Posterized.
I was disappointed to find their API is read-only. Is there a new beta with R/W??
Lots of projects built with Meeet here! How's it working out for you?
my wife - it's our anniversary today
Not sure how your wife would feel about being considered a "side project"
Point taken. I'll share your poke with my wife of 34 years - I'm sure she will appreciate it.
I'll be working on Meeet and a little bit with Purple Valley Coffee Club
I'm going to try and finish my firs Chrome Plugin, then next im jumping into game dev!
Chrome API is really easy, built two lovely apps with it!
Yes its been a great learning project for me to put into practice what I've learned with Code Academy.
Oh so it’s easy to pick up? I had a look at Chrome plugins and there were all these different ways of doing stuff I was so confused by it all. You recommend Code Academy for picking it up?
Relatively speaking yes. I found this site to help get a quick foundation: http://extensionizr.com/
Yeah I had actually checked that out before and got a combination of items that seemed to make sense, and downloaded and then there were like 3 js files and I had no idea which one to add stuff to.
Here’s what I’m working on: http://jsfiddle.net/T8ttZ/2/
You can try it as a bookmarklet, and I’m hoping to make a Chrome plugin for it too, all it really has to do is create a 'script' element on the page to load everything in.
Awesome! Looks good. If you want you can hit me up on twitter or email me at jon -at- uitogether.com
So what you are looking for is an browser action with an injected script
You can contact me at schwarz -at- airwalk-design.com too. I will gladly help :)
I wrote an article detailing the results of my experiment with Fiverr.
22 days, 55 out of 55 successful orders, 99% positive rating. Cash cow or devaluing design ?
I'm reading a book for drawing design ideas and getting myself acquainted with a pencil again after losing control with my hands with arthritis. Never drew another stuff for over a decade because of it. Now, I'm trying to adapt with my affliction since i can no longer draw the way I used to.

This was actually a side project I released Sunday last week: a collaborative typographic project using Google's web fonts and text from Aesop's Fables.
I'd love to have more designers contribute! Fork the project here: https://github.com/femmebot/google-type
Working on this years festival guide for Thy Alive Festival (DK) and simultaneously a new Middleman + Gulp setup for my book project Codes & Notes to allow for easier publishing to print and the various digital formats you need these days.
An EP I've been writing for the past few months :)
Working on a completely customized new tab page for the amazing Breach browser (very much a work in progress, but man the things a curious developer could do...)
Initial Sketch that I made a while back. Much like the browser, it is very much a work in progress.
www.matahorn.net is a weekend project I did a little while ago: (i.e. talks were recorded some time ago, and then they sat around my hard-drive, and I every three weeks I'd remind myself I had to actually do something with them [clinically known as Non-Productivity-Terror] - and finally, with the girlfriend on a yoga retreat, the site got built in a caffeine fuelled weekend :)
(I've got to say; when full time work is a start-up, that is fairly complex / code-heavy etc. these weekend warrior projects really do feel great!).
D.
My side project is Hatch - an app that helps you find local, like-minded collaborators for your side project. Think Tinder/OKCupid + Linkedin :)
Did you ever partner with someone from your Meeet profile? http://beta.meeet.co/iruchan/Hatch
Talking to one applicant right now but so far I haven't found a match yet. iOs devs are hard to find.
Totally get it.
Best of luck!
I started working on it last weekend actually.
It's very early right now, but it allows you to create projects and add notes (links with descriptions) and screenshots to a project.
Snail Mail - sending real letters to people through your gmail account.
Chart and map visualizations of the DN Salary Survey '14 data. I cleaned up the original spreadsheet, geocoded all of the locations, and got everything into a GeoJSON for Leaflet. I'm going to work on getting clustering set up next, and start moving stuff into D3/Highcharts/Charts/whatever. Any ideas for a clever name for this?
Working on my graduating project. It's a web-app for demo submissions in the world of electronic music. Currently working out the design aspects and translating it in a Axure prototype.

Anyone here who runs a digital music label and want to test some UX stuff?
In the process of fine tuning my reimagining of the in-car UX. http://www.eytandavidovits.com/in-car-ux/
Contact me with comments or suggestions, would love to hear.
Planning to start my personal webpage but I believe most of my time will be spent on thinking instead of actions.
I’m going to remake the site for my idea Hoverlytics: www.hoverlytics.com Probably away from Squarespace (I just wanted to try it out), I find I’m having to fight their template too much, especially on mobile.
I’m going to keep working on my Mac app for organising work files.
And hopefully going to relax too.
Migrating an API from Express 3.x to 4.x, and from MongoDB/Mongoose to PostgreSQL/Sequelize.
Trying out making a Chrome app on the Evernote API
I will start thinking of ideas for my homepage which I want to design to include more details about me and make it easier to navigate and find things.
Wanna build something with rails-api.
Been wanting to build something shooting/gun related but drawing blanks (no pun intended). Any other shooting/gun enthusiasts have any ideas?
Perhaps I'll start on a DN/HN clone for gun-related discussions.
I'm working on a simple open source template/framework thingy based on bootstrap. You could view the progress here, yet I have not changed lots of default bootstrap. http://35be578.5minfork.com/
Here!!!
Beautiful design inspiration and smashing designer goodies
