Stache 1.1 update — smarter bookmarking for Mac and iOS

almost 9 years ago from , Founder & CEO at Orbit / Momento

We just launched v1.1 of Stache (http://getstache.com) introducing a bunch of improvements and a highly requested feature — collections!

For those of you who like to keep things neat and tidy, you can now organise your bookmarks with collections, folders and tags. Of course, organising your bookmarks is entirely optional, Stache's full content search does a great job of surfacing the bookmarks you're looking for without any need to tag or organise!

Find out more about Stache at http://getstache.com

I'm always expecting this product to have a moustache for a logo.

    Anyone else?

    Anyone?

YES! Been using this for a while now, and have always wanted a way to differentiate between my saved items. I would recommend this to anyone, it just works (now it does anyway).

Love the updates Oliver, especially for the iOS version and the detection of URLs from clipboard.

Any thoughts on integrating with Launch Center Pro? It'd be awesome to be able to create of Stache -> Add URL shortcuts to specific folders, collections, tags.

    Awesome work.

Hey Adrian. Thanks! Stache does have a URL scheme, however it requires the page to be loaded in Stache before being able to bookmark it. Will definitely consider supporting collections and tags to the scheme though ;) Thanks for the suggestions.

I've been using since the launch, it's great!! I've one question about the Kippt import thou:

    – I've already imported my Kippt bookmarks before, but because at the time you guys didn't support lists, they are all on my "inbox". What happens if I import the Kippt links again? Will the links be duplicated? They will be sorted into the correct lists?

      Hey Lucas, thanks!

If you have an 'Inbox' collection then it sounds like Stache did its job importing your collections. We've supported Kippt lists since v1.0 (we stored the data ready for when we implemented collections), however we only supported Kippt tags in the latest version. You should have a folder named 'Imported' with the collections (lists) in.

If you're still having trouble, drop us a message at support@getstache.com and we'll give you a hand :)

Great update! Still hoping for a direct sync with Pinboard, Delish's development seems to have stopped.

this actually may be what i was looking for. I'd love a free trial download though so i can see before i spend even 7$ (wow apps are so cheap now).

    Does it integrate with Instapaper?

I bought it for Mac and iOS – so to import I have to export a file for it to use from a browser or other bookmarking service?

No integration at present. If you're still using other bookmarking services then we understand the export/import process could be a little repetitive — it's certainly something we'll look to improve.

Oh that's ok, I just wasn't sure what to do, I had to go into your zendesk help pages, it'll be great if there was someway of explaining in the app what you need to do – “Import from services X, Y & Z by exporting a ‘blah’ file.”

Can you save individual images on a page?
