Music tends to be inspiration for many people and I was wondering what inspires DN?
The blog that I used to frequent was musigh.com, but the owner hasn't posted in months. Also linked to some really nice photography/art too. Lately I just shuffle around The Hype Machine and Soundcloud.
I'm a pretty heavy spotify user, and I read the standard music blogs (pitchfork, tiny mix tapes).

I do a little run around between a few sources: Hype Machine, Pitchfork (take everything with a grain of salt, however), Birp.fm monthly playlists, Rdio new releases section.
Rdio has given me the highest success rate. I find if you follow the right people you constantly see new albums pop up to try.

They've turned me on to some great hip hop & experimental artists. And since I frequent youtube, I get updated on artists work without having to dig through other blogs constantly.
At the same time, I follow a few specific artists on twitter and pay attention to their retweets. They usually promote label-mates or artists they co-sign. In fact, a lot of the artists I favor run their own independent labels, so I encounter new artists constantly.

They both have 'blog radio' time on Sirius XMU and play an awesome variety of old soul, r&b, indie, future-y synth stuff, and new genres like chillwave and stuff.
I seriously love how varied they are in their tastes. There's something for everybody (if you're open minded).
I don't know what it is lately but all I've wanted to listen to is synth stuff that sounds like an 80s horror movie, or action film, and I've been using spotify radio with artists like Perturbator and Megadrive.

Kind of an odd recommendation from me but if you want more of that 80's synth, check out the soundtracks for Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon and Hotline Miami if you haven't. Both were heavily inspired by the time and definitely scratch that 80's itch. Perturbator actually has a track on the Hotline Miami soundtrack too.
Oh I have! The Far Cry 3 soundtrack was done by Power Glove, and I loveee Hotline Miami.

But for work I tend to just use Spotify and hammer Vocal/Progressive Trance all day :D

Spotify is what we use in our office, but it kinda gets repetitive and the suggestions doesn't change the mood. (Simpler terms, they may not work to generate a creative environment). Just tried forgotify.com, wasn't too impressed either.
I personally use 8tracks. The reason I like it is because its mixes created by people. Its got a human touch, so the playlists are quite different and enjoyable. If you don't know what to listen to , you can still find a playlist catered to that. Cons: Song quality can be bad and some people can be crazy to put a death metal mix in a classical playlist. :D
SoundCloud, mostly...but also Twitter. A lot of people I follow tend to post some great music, and I end up checking out those artists.
I also frequent SoulBounce from time to time since I know the crew over there, and there's usually a new song or remix I haven't heard that's worth a listen or two.

I'm a creature of habit. Spotify. Albums. Sometimes I'll try the radio function. Mostly albums I know and love.
Mostly interested in HNHH to keep up with beefs, but there are good mixtapes on there though. Been listening to a lot of BBC radio one stuff on soundcloud lately as well.
I tend to lurk HNHH every few months too. Catch the odd mixtape that someone dropped out of nowhere.
Essential Mixes on BBC1 are solid too. :)

I listen to rdio all day. But every month I download the new BIRP! playlist ( http://www.birp.fm )
It's a good way to find new artists.
