I just can't take Duarte seriously as long as he continues to sport shirts like those..
That's in no way a professional, or reasoned comment. It's just how I feel.
I feel guiltily vindictive saying it, but I feel like Duarte's guilty of reciting this kind of paper-thin puff a few times before. Of course, all tech companies do it, not least Apple. But his feels a bit more absolutely revisionist than others I've noticed.

Thank goodness someone is calling out Apple for using Helvetica Neue for the UI with reasoned arguments. The personality of Helvetica Neue is (arguably) very nice, but the usability of it is not very good. Perhaps Apple should try a custom font that feels thin, but solves the shortcomings of using HelvNeue for UI.
