I like Schnapps. It works really well. I’m a big fan of capturing design history. It can help ensure your final design is better than everything else that’s come before.

Disclaimer: I helped beta test Schnapps.

If it's creating time lapses to create a video ..why is it telling me what the weather is?

(don't get me wrong, it's telling me pretty darn nicely, but why?)

What happens if you have multiple artboards in Sketch? Does it capture all of them or just the first artboard?

Seems cool, but I don't understand why they have a picture of Yahoo News Digest right there. Is that the app? Maybe a GIF/video of an app changing over time would be better...

I was using a very alpha version of Schnapps when I was designing Y! News Digest. And I like how it fits the product page.

This looks like a great product (and I like the overall look of the screenshot) - but please figure out a way to animate that image. Seeing the static Yahoo Weather widget makes me think this is the yahoo weather widget.

+1 I was confused at first as well, and then started to wonder why there wasn't a sample video on the one pager. Looks like a handy tool, wonder whether it'll work with Fireworks PNG files (source files, not exports).

Awesome. Yea, that's what I was getting at. Without reading the site, it looked like Y! News was the app.

Yea, this was super confusing, but I thought after a couple seconds that maybe it was an animated gif or video that just didn't load for some reason.

Sketch support but no Illustrator support seems odd. I would love see Illustrator incorporated and I would definitely be interested in purchasing this.

I agree. I use Illustrator almost exclusively and the lack of support is keeping me from purchasing this.

This is a great idea. It's something I've always wanted to do, but never was able to. For newer designers, or designers just looking to hone their skills, this seems powerful. I'll go through dozens of concepts before I arrive at a final design.

I like the idea of it, but their third value statement makes me cringe.

Please, designer friends - if you're working in an environment where you need to "prove" exploration, do yourself a favor and find a new place to work. It will improve your life by an order of magnitude.

Evidence might not be the best word for it, but documenting your work is essential pretty much anywhere.

...right. But it's a natural byproduct of doing the work. I've worked with plenty of CDs and ECDs in my years in this field, and the ones who rattle on about "showing your process" are the ones who are completely out of touch with shipping products.

My point was that if you're having to justify that you're doing your job to someone by showing them every saved version of a file, then you're working in the wrong environment.

No one in the real world cares about your portfolio of half-baked ideas.

I agree—Evidence is not really good , any suggestions?

I have only one but. They should add that you need add file, before you start design, for a moment I tried to add finished design and think it will make time-lapse from history :P

You are not alone, I'm trying to figure out how to explain this better within the current margins. Any suggestions?

Hymm, I think you could in how it work section, write something along this lines:

Drag a file when you start your design into Schnapps and it'll automatically detect changes every time you hit save in your design tool and take snapshot of your changeing design

To view all taken snapshots, simply mousover horizontally over window

In my opinion after reading this most of people should get how it works. Sorry if I made some errors, still need some practice in english :)

Oh snap, this is incredibly close to a project I've recently started work on. Very interesting to see. Congrats.

What "design tools" does it support?
