    • 45 hrs/week @ work (2 days from home)
    • 10-20 hrs/week @ side projects
    • 6-10 hrs/week @ gym

â€ĶI take days off to clean my house, relax at the beach or run errands, but generally speaking, the above takes all my time.

You need to be disciplined. I tried to commit to 10 hours a week and that was tough, I'd say 5-10 worked better since I could do an hour or two at night and in the morning on weekdays, otherwise it just became overwhelming. Until I get my hourly rate up enough to make it a full time thing, I don't think you're going to find putting in that much extra time will work out well for you in terms of sleep/sanity.

Quite a bit. I have a Fulltime job and a more than fulltime freelance gig going myself. It's brutal sometimes but I consider myself to have 2 full time jobs.

I can't complain too much though. I made it happen :)

How many hours would you say you commit to?

      It's better than the alternative!

I am trying to set a limit for myself. It has probably been around 5-8 hours a week, but I want to be able to commit to that and still have a life. Having a wife and kid makes it incredibly difficult though. Nights and mornings are the best times for me. Weekends on the rare occasion to get caught up.
