Looks like it's just a website crammed into an OSX window. Disappointing.
Yeah, I came here hoping someone would have mentioned why this is better than just having it open in a tab (or in Fluid if you want to pretty fully emulate this app). Bah.
I'm hoping they are lining it up for some native shortcuts in OSX. Would be nice to have a quick add function in the future.
But yeh, disappointed a bit..
Why might someone use Sunrise over iOS/OSX Calendar? It's not clear from their website. Is it purely because it looks nicer?
I use Sunrise because there are some calendars I have in Google which won't import into iOS/OSX Calendar due to privacy settings, but work perfectly in Sunrise.
Just curious -- is it an issue you're having, or do you not want them in the OS X calendar app? Because it took me a bit to figure out how to allow OS X to connect to my calendar and I could probably point you in the right direction if needed.
Not everyone can use the iOS/OSX calendar, so I'm all for another smooth, multi-device option.
Integration with Foursquare and Facebook, better UI, better access to context and auto-completing locations (save me SO MUCH time and frustration), I could go on.
Also lets me have my coworkers subscribed calendars visible if I choose, which iOX/OSX Calendars don't handle very nicely.
After seeing Google's new calendar with Material Design I started to figure out what value these calendars now offer. The UI of this calendar is simple, and I appreciate it, but I have my life in Google's calendar already, why would I choose this one. I think this question must come out from every single person I've meet.
Three week view is where I live. For me a calendar is DOA without it.
