Rather self-serving as my first post here, but just kicking the tires and trying this out. Would also appreciate your comments, as I've since turns comments off on my blog: pesky spammers.
interesting point about not asking 10 diff types of designers. i've always felt like i was missing out on a broad view whenever i only asked 1 type. do you have examples comparing the 2 ways of getting advice?
I didn't really say type, I just said 10 designers. Every designer will have a polarising opinion.
To compare, just look at any of the super bizarro comment threads on Dribbble and you'll get an idea of why critique from lots of people isn't useful. :-)
Great use of words here. Love the emoticon at the end!
Imma gonna send you a word a day.
No offence, but you might be asking the wrong people for feedback. I'd always like to get feedback from a few people I know pretty well. It helps a lot if someone points out a flaw in your design or doesn't really like something, explains why and suggests a solution.
No offence taken.
I totally agree, which is why I make that point in my post - only go to people who you respect and (thus, I guess) know.
