"Apple use the same word –Great– to describe a good thing and a bad thing."

The article makes it sound like it was a mistake, but that was clearly done on purpose.

If anything I find the suggested fixes more awkward than the original.

So what about "Think Different" it should be "Thinking Different" yet its one of the best slogans ever made, not so terrible then.

The slogan "Think Different" is telling YOU to think different, not that Apple is thinking different. See the original commercial for context: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImE8ZyoKUaQ.

Plus, we're not talking about a slogan here. It's about the awful copywriting throughout the entire page. Did you even read the first paragraph?

"What makes an iPhone unlike anything else? Maybe it’s that it lets you do so many things. Or that it lets you do so many things so easily. Those are two reasons iPhone owners say they love their iPhone. But there are many others as well."

That last sentence just falls off a cliff.

Unfortunately the articles author focused on making things that were fine worse, instead of things like the sentence you pulled.
