Is it just me or is anyone else really liking the new search/spotlight feature?

actually looks pretty nice, considering iCal looked like this not too long ago:

I already saw something like this on Dribbble in one of those unsolicited redesigns.

    Impressions?

As a Windows user I've noticed Mac OS is slowly turning into iOS. However, it does look nice. The new search/spotlight feature looks great. I am seeing a few similarities between that of Windows Vista and the new Mac OS Very interesting nonetheless.

Aside: It's 2014 and the above link isn't responsive. Resize your browser down and you get scrollbars. Of all companies in the tech space, I've come to expect more of Apple.

The Apple site as a whole is notoriously un-responsive. Especially in that they mass produce the hottest phone on the planet in the iPhone, yet their own website is an awful experience on that very phone. Interesting, since I can't imagine they don't have the resources.

Guess it's just not a priority for them.

I've always thought it was intentional. In the original iPhone presentation, Jobs went out if his way to point out that Safari was capable of browsing the "real internet" not a simplified mobile version of the internet.

Yeah, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense does it? I guess Apple are in the business of pleasant hardware experiences for the most part, not overly exciting or industry-leading web experiences.

It's mainly a site for selling and there is a very small percentage of people that spend 700$ via phone

The reason Apple's site isn't responsive is because they want to prompt people to use the native App Store app instead of the website.

Incredible subtlety on that leading animation. Almost missed it.

Has anyone installed the Developer Preview yet? I kind of want to, but am afraid of everything breaking.

Is it just me or are the window close/maximize buttons too close to the edge and content for some apps (Messages, for example)?

    Otherwise looks pretty good!

Anyone notice the clouds on the site?
