Good read, I'm adding one more advice if you look to make long lasting and premium products. Make them heavy, it tells users it's worth it.
Expensive things are often heavy, bikes, cars, furniture, books, computers. Weight is also significative of good materials (wood, metal, glass).
Cheap and light plastic don't cut it anymore.
New iPhones are a good example, the lighter they will make them the cheaper they will feel.
