I'm headed to Japan in about a month to travel around for a while, anyone on DN have any recommendations about things to see or do that are a little off the beaten path?
Also, any good recommendations for long term travel packs?

  Sunshine city in ikebukuro (An indoor amusement park dedicated to a cat character)
  Guts Soul in Nakano Station (good w/ group of friends all you can eat/drink + karaoke after nearby), or just relax and enjoy diff types of japanese food yakiniku style
