Just bought Sketch 2 a couple of days ago. Hope they offer a free upgrade for recent purchases!
I downloaded the trial and decided to wait until it was up to decide. Looks like I'll have another trial to download soon.
If the release of Sketch 3 is within the next month, I think it would be unreasonable of them not to upgrade your purchase.
Half Life 3 confirmed!
How can one not be excited about this.
PS. Please don't change the name. I would have to change all my blog titles.
Shine is just builds codename, Sketch will always be Sketch.
Makes perfect sense.
Sketch for Windows? I don't even know why I'm guessing.
Tahahahaha :D
Sketch for Metro.
Sketchro
Now with only half of the features.
Between that and Meng To's book, Christmas is coming early this year!
Maybe turning Sketch into something like Macaw?
I'm I right guessing it is Sketch 3.0? The evidence is hidden within the HTML and CSS on their website. We'll probably find that Sketch 3 has the ability to export both languages, thus competing with the soon to be released Macaw. In some ways I hope this doesn't happen, as I believe that the team should prioritise fixes for existing bugs, before adding new features.
There are a lot more features needed to improve Sketch, and I hope they'll arrive in version 3. Let the countdown begin...
Sketch + animations/transitions, maybe even interactive stuff?
See how it "shines"? :)
Sketch looks great, but I don't trust Bohemian Coding anymore. Fontcase was an important piece of software I've relied on for years and they simply dropped it without even warning the users (many months of neglect later they posted something on their blog which I had to search for a long time).
Hi,
Well, first of all, we warned our users - http://bohemiancoding.tumblr.com/post/65603011680/retiring-fontcase
We offer Fonts for free for every customer who provides an appstore receipt for fontcase.
We still develop Fontcase 2 and we recently updated it to support 10.9, with the 2.1.9 update, which we're giving away to users who request a non-sandboxed copy, like we described in the blogpost.
Next time contact us, our customer support can be very... supportive.
As a fontcase customer (who's quite happy with it too!) I need to get in touch!
Curiosity: initiated Patience: error, patience not found
Can't wait. I am really excited about the next version of Sketch.
Maybe it's a text editor. Just speculating here.
Or maybe it's a first-person-shooter! Just speculating as well.
With your comment and Tom G's code: It is Half Life 3
Well, that's it. We have our answer. Looking forward to it.
Sketch 3? Half Life 3 confirmed.
Even more speculation: It's a program that generates complete designs for you. No more need to spend long hours on designing. You can finally be the art director of your computer.
Does the new title come with a raise?
Nice, so I can call myself a CEO of my computer?
I can confirm it is very awesome!
The shine on the text is really nice.
I think @pumpkin is the man who did it ;)
Correct.
DUKE NUKEM?
Wondering what it is...
Their CSS gives some clues ;). Decode the SVG's base64.
i just see the bohemiancoding logo
Wasn't too revealing, unless I missed something.
Enlighten us? I'm super curious.

Sketch 3.0
Oh oh oh! So excited!
Wishlist: symbols (looks like it on dribbble), sketch mirror for android and animation. If it also supports hotspots linking, transitions e t c it will be an effin complete tool for design and mockups.
Trying to convince my agency to get me sketch. Hopefully I'll be diving into Sketch with this new release and won't have to worry about all the bugs people have been moaning about.
If they have to be convinced, that's crazy. This is the tool we've been waiting YEARS for. It's a no brainer productivity boost.
Well it's not my bank account... and that also means the files I'll be handing off would be much different for other people to access.
They have outdone themselves. I'm swimming in new features to learn over here. Most requests have been filled :)
does it render colors on output properly? that's the major issue stopping me from using Sketch exclusively :(
We improved color export, yes, I believe for good. (and for all scenarios)
yay! can't wait :)
Trolling, or do you really have a beta? If so, how did you get access?
Check Bohemian Coding or Emanuel Sa on Twitter. As with most things, they're quite generous with sharing the alpha :)
Just took on my first project trying to use only sketch, and it was the first time in a while that the program I use seemed to help instead of hinder my process. The next step is convince clients to accept Sketch files as deliverables, since I've only seen resistance until now. Hopefully Sketch 3 will set a new standard.
