    It's a rare interview, but is it that remarkable? He likes design a lot. Do you really learn much more from that article?

      This article isn't really for designers, it's for just people, wanting to get to know him. That being said, I would kill for an indepth look at his design process.

      Cheers. Wasn't going to read it (who has time for such long articles?) and this seems to quite sum it up :]

    The man is a hero. Enjoyable interview.

    This book is a must read if you're interested in Ive: Jony Ive: The Genius Behind Apple's Greatest Products.

    Complete aside - I didn't realize until this article that Time has disabled the bouncy scroll that came along in Lion. Really strange to feel the hard stop at the top and bottom of the page.

    Also, fantastic stuff from Ive. Always am fascinated with the distinction between making and designing. Being a maker requires so much of a practical toolset; being a designer requires a nod to practical toolsets, but puts the burden on the manufacturer to figure out how; when Ive designs, his eye is on the process as much as it is on the experience of using the thing.

      This feature is care of some simple CSS:

      html { overflow: hidden !important; }

    Maybe it's just me but with Ive interviews, you've seen one you've seen them all. Cool guy though.

    This was the perfect Monday morning read.

    There’s almost a joy in looking at your ignorance and realizing, ‘Wow, we’re going to learn about this and, by the time we’re done, we’re going to really understand and do something great.

    Great article, was interesting to read, but it was starting to burn slowly by the end of it.

    I've been reading a lot of Steve Jobs lately, and I've started to learn that he was actually a pretty incredible guy, with an amazing point of view on life.

    Inspirational, and thanks for sharing - Thom, probably wouldn't have found it otherwise. :)

    What a terribly written article. There are a few gems in there when Ive actually is quoted and gets to speak but the authors tone is terribly tacky.
