Concept and then design a campaign to "win" the chance to interview and possibly get a job?

I don't care who you are, that's messed up.

THIS is all anyone needs to read (aside from the fact is glorified spec work) and run...

"The value of the contract will be determined after the completion of contest."

Yeah, what a wonderful job. A site that earns money by exposing videos of abused, defamed and discriminated young people, masked as a masturbator-tool for the casual man / lady.

    Give me a break.

Exploiting young people who are desperate for money and attention?

    It really fits their brand.

Sure not "everyone". But does it make things different?

It does. Designers are exploited by clients all the time — just look at some of the stories on http://clientsfromhell.net. Does that mean the design industry is based on exploiting people?

Sorry man, but comparing designers being exploited by clients against physical abuse and wounds, discrimination and injuries seems to me ridiculous.

Good thing all not all pornography is like that :) just look at Belle Knox, the "Duke porn star" who recently revealed her identity. She (and thousands of other pornographic actors) have had incredibly positive experiences with the industry. If there are cases of exploitation, maybe the appropriate thing to do is fight to protect those who are taken advantage of, rather than assuming the entire industry is based upon that.

Yeah, but maybe you should think Pornhub isn't a porn company, but a site that earns money by letting people upload any kind of video, wether there's an industry porn film or an "ilegal" video. And they don't give a sh*t about people's identities, copyrights, anything. So this point to me doesn't make any sense.

Well, I haven't heard of any cases in which an illegal video has been allowed to stay on their website, and a quick search shows that all the prominently featured videos seem to be professionally produced. I assume by "illegal video" you mean child pornography — I'm sure if you've heard of any actual case in which they have, but that is an extremely serious allegation that should not be made lightly.

In any event, it appears neither of us is going to budge on this; let's agree to disagree :)

How is it based on the exploitation of people? There are plenty of pornographic actors and actresses who enjoy and are passionate about what they do.

35 Million users everyday is just mental, why do they even need to start a marketing campaign.

It's probably one of the most progressive things they could do, if they're making a high-quality design effort.

It's a real step towards legitimacy.
