Design looks good but I have some comments / corrections. You should put references to where you're getting the information from. Infographics are great for breaking down complicated information so you could include more chemistry (like what is HFCS, fructose, sucrose, glucose) and representations of research paper results. It could be a great site for balanced information.

This is a great blog post from a few years ago but still just as relevant:

    Some research you could use:

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2991323/

    As for GM foods.

The UN's World Health Organization has a great overview: http://www.who.int/foodsafety/publications/biotech/20questions/en/

Appreciate this, Steven. :) The design + content were originally a print piece where citing sources made no sense. This site was a direct translation of that print piece, but after this feedback, I'm thinking of revisiting doing just as you mentioned. Thanks for the links as well!

I really like this but I find myself wishing it was even more educational. For instance, it would be nice to explain in common terms how the syrup is actually created. It just straight from a fairly complex sounding description to a claim about obesity.

It would be nice if told more of a story and ended with the conclusions about obesity and how bad it is for children. Perhaps, also visualizing the relative amount of sugar inherent in cereals.

    Still nicely done.

Thanks, Shawn. Definitely feeling you there. This little project was a straight digitization (having fun with webfonts!) of an art-school-y print piece that took the form of a cereal box (old version). I should revisit it on the web, telling that actual narrative, without physical surface area restrictions & the familiarity of the cereal box shape.

Ahh...very interesting. That certainly adds a new context. Although, I have to say the old version, looks really cool.
