    Facebook-only login? Ugh.

Thanks Thani, we're planning to add iCloud support at some point. Stay tuned!

Oh look, it's a clone of fantastical...

Really neat. Just started playing around with it. Definitely a unique way of calendering.

I like the timeline aspect. The top calendar portion feels a bit crushed up there but I know there is limited space to work with. A fine balance :)

I like it, but shipping without native iOS calendar support seems odd…

Looks nice. I'll download it and wait for the update to come out where I don't need to log in with Facebook.

The app looks great, I've not tried it as I don't use Facebook.

@Jeremy L: Just some feedback on the Sunrise app site. There is no mention that this is a Google Calendar application, and that Facebook is required for login, which would be handy to know before downloading the app.

Also, slightly odd that you chose Facebook auth for a Google Call app? What was your reasoning for this?

      Thanks for your feedback Aaron.

We wanted to keep the website very simple and have more detailed infos about on the App Store description as well as what the press mentioned.

Agreed, the main reason was to keep the on-boarding very simple, but we are revisiting it and will add an alternative way to auth (email based) very soon.

Introducing Sunrise - for people who like stock acoustic guitar music, & putting foursquare in their dock.

But seriously - seems like a pretty solid product after a few minutes of diving in. Beef the marketing video up to scratch dude/s.

Awesome, I might ditch Fantastical for this! I really like the "now indicator" (arrow that rotates and points to where today is).

I downloaded the app and when I try to login it asks me to allow FB permissions, which I do, then it seems to fail and prompts me to check my sunrise application permissions (Sunrise isn't in there). Maybe something is screwy with the way FB is connected to my phone? Keen to check the app out anyway :)

The continuous month scrolling earned this app the place in my home screen. Bye bye apple calendar.

Brilliant app. Focusing on the events rather than the date tiles + that single scroll seems so obvious now.

@chris.b you can still logout once in and keep google calendars.

I've been using it for about half hour now and I love it. It looks great and adds a bunch of cool features like facepiles, rsvp (that works!), daily weather, post to a friend's wall or SMS on their birthday, and posting to FB event walls. The only big thing lacking at this early stage is iCloud support but I am willing to over look that for now.
