Ah I use to love the old Mediatemple site, I thought they did extremely well to visualise the servers and allow you to make a connection between the price and what you were getting (The Nitro server 3D render looked fancier than Grid etc)

This new flat style loses a lot of personality for them i think, altho the big photo might make them appeal to a wider audience

I agree! I really liked the nice imagery of the servers on the old site. It felt like a real hosting company. This new page, while nice, feels like a designers portfolio. I think it's a step in the wrong direction.

Too bad the account center is still the same haha. The new frontpage is an improvement. The old one looked a little outdated. That's for sure.

Man it's like the internet released "Flat Design" and everyone's updating their site to fit the new aesthetic without thinking twice about execution.

There's going to be a cascade of redesigns across the web when the public views flat design as cliché.

I have a lot of respect for Allan Grinshtein and the others who called flat design home before it became a tourist attraction.

Looks like every other site, I really liked the old one. Brandon Text throughout isn't really helping.

It looks fine I guess. I felt like the previous look had much more personality and visual flare. It made it more exciting and cool to work with them. I am a little disappointed they went with the boring photos and then paired with two-toned flat illustrations. I think this is an example of where flat doesn't work for them. The whole space theme just isn't cohesive enough for them to use it.

They are really pushing their whole : "Designers use us" approach. But, if anything this feels alienating and more corporate. I'm a little disappointed.

I think Ill miss the cool icons and server names like Rage and Nitro, thats some good branding thats just gone now.
