Beautiful photography. I love that first shot.
The claw finger on the fourth photo is a good example for how a bad hand model can distract from the product though.

Nice site, I'm still a bit unsure on sticking important content, such as portfolio items, inside a carousel — almost missed it.

  Yes, I learned that carousels in general are bad ( http://bradfrostweb.com/blog/post/carousels/ ). But in this case I find it nicely done, did you notice the hint on the pagination indicators?
