"Everything counts". Perhaps, but how much you consume stuff doesn't count for much imo. Life is more about things like the strength of your relationships and what you give to humanity as a whole — much harder to measure with an app, but much more worth focussing on.

The visual design of the app does look nice though. And I like the ethos of "Digital products are tools, not a center of someone's life. The app is visible when you need it, and keeps silence if not."

Looks great. I kinda thought I landed on a Apple website when I opened the link. Both the app and website look exactly like Apple's.

I'm curious to see how much manual actions are required for this app. That's kind of where these concepts end for me. I used a (vaguely) similar app a long time ago, think it was by the creators of Sleep Cycle. I had to check the app so much to see if everything was being put in correct (they did a lot based on GPS location). I wouldn't know how to combat having to do this though since a lot of the stuff you do obviously isn't traceable by a phone.

      Hello, Bart

There are two types of events in Haptic: manual and automatic. Automatic events are based on data from your Health.app (steps, sleep, and weight; more to come). All other events are fully manual, so if you've finished reading a book, you will need to log it manually.

We're working on simplifying this process, but not in the first release.

Seems interesting. It looks like an extended version of Gyroscope. How does the third-party data flow in? Automatically via integrations or do we need to add it manually?

      Hey

In the first version, only data from Health.app (steps, sleep, and weight) will be logged automatically, but we're also working on simplifying sync with other platforms (Spotify, Trakt, Strava, etc.)

When can we expect an invite to the service? I've been looking for an app like this for a while now. Looking forward to it.

    Just signed up.

This feels pretty scary. A company asking for every single detail of your day to day life offering a glossy record in return.
