Hello, we're super happy to introduce to you Vectornator Pro for Mac. The wait is finally over ;) The all in one graphic design powerhouse is now available for Free on the Mac App Store!

Looks good! But, opening the preferences/settings in a sidebar instead of a pop-up is a bit weird on macOS. Also had a bit of a hard time figuring out how to close it... swiping doesn't feel natural in this scenario.

Hey Joey, to close the Setting you can simply click on the Style Panel or you can even use the shortcut / to hide it. ;)

the further mac apps step away from mac conventions, the less reason there is to use os x.

Is this a Catalyst app? It looks pretty good! The more native UI the better (especially things like closing windows and preference panels as referenced elsewhere)

Nothing in that video made me even want to try it over Illustrator.

For those who have been using it - to you think it's competing with Illustrator or Sketch? Or Both? Or Neither?

Probably neither. Illustrator and Affinity Designer are a lot more featureful right now. Sketch is much more geared toward UI design than this is. I think the itch this scratches is:

      • Free
      • Great for those situations where you want a tool that is better than Sketch for illustrations or iconography
      • Integrates into your workflow if you like to sketch ideas on an iPad and move over to desktop

I don't think I'd consider this a "pro"-level design tool but for the price tag, you might as well take a look.
