I had little experience in designing for non-native mobile technologies...
Trying to understand this statement. Does this mean you had little to no prior experience designing for the web? That you only do native app work?
Thanks for the question Ryan! I had experience designing web platforms and native mobile apps, but I never built a product with hybrid technologies (Cordova in this case). An example is the need of designing a custom keyboard that could avoid cross browser compatibility issues that were quite frustrating, especially on Samsung devices. I guess my statement isn't clear enough, so thanks again for your feedback! :)
That's what I figured but I didn't want to assume as the statement was a bit ambiguous.
You should do a write up about what you learned designing in the hybrid environment. I've yet to do that myself as well.
I'm shocked that the main color is not purple/violet. For some reason crypto/blockchain designers love that color.
I don't see myself as a "crypto designer", but I'm guilty of using purple in my past experience at Cloud Academy for the Learning Paths product :)
I meant the designers on crypto/blockchain projects. There is no such thing as a "crypto designer" of course :D Well done!
I would say the app looks too corporate imo, looks more like a banking app, which doesn’t quite hit the mark for the target audience.
I’m also seeing a lot of influence from Material, which always feels off to me in iOS.
UX looks good though, well done!
Thanks a lot for your feedback Darren! The app is built using hybrid technologies and has to run on both iOS and Android — I had to make a single choice for the UI due to technical and business constraints and I decided to go for Material Design, which I agree is not the best solution for iOS but at least it's familiar for iPhone users who use the Google Suite apps.
Thanks again, I really appreciate constructive feedback!
