Looks more like a replacement for Principle rather than Sketch/Figma/XD. Will be interesting to see how the product evolves but for a first release it has a lot of great features. Hope they add components/symbols soon to make it easier to reuse elements.
One thing that has me a little worried is that it, just like Principle and Flinto, is focused on transitions between screens. This makes it really hard to work on multiple interactions within the same screen because you end up having 10 copies of the same screen for different interactions inside the same view. This is where apps like ProtoPie really shine. Where I would have to make multiple screens to simulate multiple states/interactions inside the same screen in Principle I can just make it all in one screen in ProtoPie and if I change something in the design I just have to update one screen instead of 10 copies of the same screens (for different states).
Can you import from Sketch?
As someone who has been insanely grumpy about prototyping tools for too long, I must say, it's so well executed. This is what I expect from software, I'm impressed, they delivered!
So far features seem pretty on par with Principle. Not sure how they will keep evolving features. Very polished though, so far no crashes.
Looking forward to see how this evolves.
Just spent 10 minutes playing around. Super simple to use, but hit a couple blockers with the desktop app crashing (tried to duplicate a shape to a different layer) and the mirror app crashes every time I try to open it.
Will wait for these bugs to get fixed before I explore more.
Can you please send us more info about the desktop app crashing to support@drama.app? This bug was not yet reported. The Mirror app indeed crashes on iOS 13, we are looking into that. Sorry for the incovenenience!
This actually looks impressively performant and well-built. Kind of came out of no where. Going to give this a shot this evening! Looking forward to it.
I am gonna try too tomorrow :)
Just saw this on hackernews.
Going to try shortly.
