I like the idea behind this. One issue I have is, the product I'm currently working on is private and only available to our clients (4000+ companies), but I am able to share little tidbits of different features and things like that, at least until our design system is public. How would I go about doing so using your platform? It is a legitimate, functioning product, right now used primarily internally, but releasing July 18th.
Hey Andrew, Thanks for this feedback. Really appreciate it :)
We are thinking about the problem you mentioned, a few solutions that we have in mind are : 1) Private Sharing (Link Based) 2) Even if you share the link to the Landing Page of the product that would allow you to post the work related to the Product. This might not be the best way to solve it. Once the product is out you could add Link to the product on the Shots too. 3) Team accounts. If you are a part of the team that's working on this product you'd be allowed to post shots regarding the said designs.
Would really like your thought over this, how would you solve it? If you do have any suggestions or want to discuss more on this I am always available on kshitij@looksideway.com
This looks great. However, I just tried signing up on the website, I entered in my email and pressed submit, and the form simply disappeared. No "thank you!" message or anything. I'm not actually sure if it went through or had an error!
Fixed this, Thanks for the heads up :)
Interesting! Looking forward to see how this takes off. Having a required project link is a no-brainer to solving the problems Dribbble are experiencing, even though it might become a catch-22 for beginners.
Not calling it a silver-bullet, not by a long shot, but I really think Robot9000 should be implemented in more cases — stop people from spamming worthless feedback just to get a chance to post their profile URL's.
I do agree on that, I definitely think the amazing team at Dribbble are working hard on solving this problem too. We are determined to fix what's broken in the design communities today.
Nice colors! So clean.
Honestly though, this is a great idea and it seems like you are on the right track. Good luck and looking forward to how Sideway grows!
haha, Really appreciate it :) Looking forward to changing the game.
