This feels so nostalgic, but in a very fresh kinda way. It's fun to see the ways that technology has changed here. Things like text masks that, in the days of yore, would have required bitmap images, can be done with CSS. Something about this site is just comforting. And, as Steven mentioned, it makes me want to build a blog.

Is this a design update or just an announcement that the author likes having a blog? I'm not entirely clear what I'm looking at.

I believe it's just showing a design update, and it's actually really nice in my opinion. Makes me want to build a blog.

Same! Took me immediately back to the days of LiveJournal. The palette, type-choices, scale and everything else makes this feel incredibly easy to read and his writing style is engaging.

It's a design update and progress report. What I found more intriguing is the reviving of Method & Craft. That site had a lot of potential and I was sad to see it fail.
