Mac Pro would probably be an overkill for everything but video.

  No, I meant Mac Pro, like the original poster asked. A Mac Pro would be a computer one could grow into.

    I think he meant MacBook Pro. (A Mac Pro would definitely be cool though)
    I have to get a new laptop and it seems that getting a Mac Pro seems like the best choice
