    Is there a sandbox where you can test tumblr themes while you are developing them? Or do I just make a fake tumblr with one post in each post type?

      I typically setup a secondary blog under my primary blog (password protected if you like) and make every type of post. I may add some data for anyone to add to the theme but there's no real import (xml) feature like you see on WordPress or something similar.

      So to answer your question. No at this time there isn't a sandbox. It sounds like sweet idea though.
