    So if you paid for a year, you now have no access to the tools?

    This sucks and Adobe could have done their checks differently and allow access to installed tools to continue until the subscription you already paid for ends.

    This is the reason why I left Adobe after they introduced their subscription model... not being in control of whether I can use the tools or not is really worrying, when you need those tools to put food on the table.

    Thank god for Affinity and other tools.

    EDIT: I know Affinity tools might no be as polished as Adobe's toolset, but I can live with that.

      Yep, there’s definitely some different ways they could have handled it. Going for a non-subscription business model would help, as would other strategies.

      I don’t think they had any way of knowing ahead of time that this was going to happen though. I’m all for piling on Adobe when they do something bad, but I think in this situation, their options were limited.
