Its accidentally a little bit too much like a puzzle.
I think that's the thing certain parts of the DN readership fail to get - it's not accidental. I could have easily opted for a grid of thumbs, or a list menu, but I was more interested in finding a visual pattern that I liked. Even at the expense of 'usability'. Also, solving puzzles can be fun.
It's all good though - my sites have never been particularly well received on here - but I'm mostly doing them for myself.

Pardon my bluntness and overuse of exclamation marks, I just liked what I saw and wanted to see more and was frustrated with how hard it was for me to browse. I hope there's something of value you can extract from my reaction/feedback. The work itself is really top notch, I just want to be able to get around it without thinking too hard. Its accidentally a little bit too much like a puzzle.
After another visit, I realized that the list of portfolio items is a barreling list. I didn't catch that before. While its cool that you got that to work, I think the list is short enough to where you don't need it to repeat.
