I was at the Facebook London Framer meetup a few weeks ago, and we were lucky enough to see a preview of Framer X. Obviously I'm not going to betray their trust and talk about what I saw before they release, but I can say that at a cursory glance, there are some things you've got right on your scribbles..

I'm REALLY looking forward to this release after seeing what I saw. I think it's going to help teams immensely, and reduce the design / developer gap even more.

Just curious - when you say design/developer gap - is it for specific platform? Let say if it's about Android and iOS, is it something Framer X will cover?

I believe it will reduce the gap no matter the platform

Hey Taylor! Nice to see you here!

My guess is that it'd be React/React Native only at least for V1. Android/iOS native would be totally a different beast to support.

Then it'd be really good if they find a way to sync/generate Android layouts. Android Studio will perhaps never become a tool for designers... just saying. :)

Hey Linton! It's been a while!

Yeah, I am having the same thought, but wanted to see if they have something else under the sleeve since they emphasize on the designer-developer collaboration, although I wouldn't expect everything will be covered, but at least if there is something to reduce the gap/improve the flow, that'd a good start :)
