    This is a great example of positioning work. OkCupid tried to chase after Tinder unsuccessfully, then someone smart there spent some time trying to figure out what makes them unique and came up with "people on okcupid are looking for a little more than a bang, and we tend to attract political folks and people with peculiar hobbies", then they decided to go for it. It might not work but it's a good strategy that I hope it pays off for them.
