Wait, I'm just curious, why do you use a CV over a resume? Is your publication list/client list/award list just that long?
I include snapshots of work and describe certain parts of the tasks, and have it laid out to be printed when I want to hand a physical copy to someone. Due to that it's ended up stretching a few pages, condensed without formatting not really so.
Worth mentioning that some countries (like the UK) use "CV" in place of "resume" but they can be the same thing.
Correct!
Got it! Thanks

That's the difference between the revolving door which is an agency, and an enterprise level development firm I suppose.
LinkedIn is the closest I use to a central repository for my CV's, but I've always found reaching out for an opportunity with a physical call/email/handshake and a CV is much better than waiting for employers to navigate to a 3rd party site. Host your own site and direct potential employers to it, imo.
I don't think there's a need at all to 'build up a following' in order to get work however, and realistically you should have networking skills outside of an algorithm-driven website that does it for you... The facebooks of the world have just led you astray ;)
