    Earlier this year I applied and interviewed for a graphic design internship at Apple Music (an opportunity of a lifetime), and was turned down with a very kind letter stating that although they liked my work, they wanted to see more growth and training.

    strangest reason to reject an intern.

      As a former design intern, I can verify that they look at existing folios.

      Internships don't give applicants a pass on having no experience at all. Obviously, different companies value prior training more than others.

      An intern with almost no design experience and no design education. Interns are typically in school for the type of job they're applying for.
