I've always been interested in exploring Hackintosh, but setting it up is really scary!
I think it will gain a lot more traction if someone can come up with a way to make the setup process easier.
If you're keen to following tutorials the stuff at https://www.tonymacx86.com/ is what a lot of hackintoshers swear by. They make it easier than the public perceives.

You beat me to it. I'm starting a new build in 2 -3 days. Easy to upgrade. WAY cheaper. And you get the best of both worlds if you want it.

Or wait till the Hackintosh community installs macOS on it :) I've been working on a powerhouse PC hardware setup, with macOS installed on it for 3 years now. It works flawlessly. There is a bit of a hassle setting it up, but then you have a Mac for 1/3 the price.
