Setting the type size to the smallest option will get you around 8-11 words per line. The customization with the typeface and type size is fantastic.
Sentinel looks great in the app.
Word count isn't what you should be targeting, since they're too variable. We designed based on character count. We built it out so that when set in Texta, our middle setting accommodates 40 characters. That works itself comfortably inside the range of ideal reading (according to Bringhurst), albeit the bottom range. That's why I size my reading experience -1 from the middle. I prefer a more compact character count to my page.

Looks really nice. Only drawback for me (and it's a big one) is the word count per line. It makes for a frustrating experience if you are constantly having to shift your eye to a new line.
Ideally you should be trying to put 9-12 words per line. I understand it's for mobile, but when the main purpose of the app is reading, this should be priority. Decreasing the default point size by one or two, and reducing the padding around the outside should fix this.
