If you type
defaults read [domain], it'll dump out all of those variables. Depending on the app, some to many of them will be incomprehensible, but there are sites like defaults-write.com that are way into documenting this weird stuff.Paul @Stammy, over 8 years ago

Neat... so how do people figure these things out? I've always wondered ever since years ago I saw a post somewhere on all these things you can turn on and off through the command line all over the OS.
